Cold Air Intake Installation Guide
Printed instructions are included with your air intake system. Follow this general guide for a successful installation. Most installations take 30-60 minutes with basic hand tools.

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Allow the engine to cool completely
Before beginning installation, ensure your engine is completely cool to avoid injury or damage to components. Wait at least 30 minutes after turning off your vehicle.

Locate and inspect the factory air intake box
Open your hood and locate the factory air intake box. Inspect the surrounding area and gather your required tools, which typically include screwdrivers and basic socket wrenches.

Remove the factory air intake box
Disconnect any clips, clamps, or bolts securing the factory air box. Remove the air intake box and any related components necessary to clear the intake pathway.

Remove factory intake piping as required
Disconnect the factory intake piping from the throttle body or MAF sensor. Compare the components in your new air intake kit to the factory setup to identify which pipes will replace the original equipment.

Install the new air intake piping
Secure the new air filter to the intake pipe using the provided rubber coupler and clamps. Attach the opposite end of the intake pipe to your vehicle's existing piping or throttle body.
- Some intake systems connect directly to the throttle body
- Others connect to the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- Refer to your vehicle-specific instructions for exact connection points

Reconnect all hoses and fittings
Reconnect any vacuum lines, breather hoses, or sensors that were disconnected during disassembly. Ensure the air filter and intake piping are fully seated and all clamps are tightened securely with no air leaks.
Note: It is normal for some intake systems to remain unsupported or appear "free-floating." Not all air intake kits include mounting brackets, as some designs are engineered to be self-supporting.

Reset your vehicle's computer (recommended)
Disconnect your battery's negative terminal for 10-15 seconds to reset your ECU. This allows your engine computer to re-learn and optimize for the increased airflow.

Installing a performance exhaust system can enhance your vehicle's sound, performance, and appearance. Follow these guidelines for a safe and successful installation. Professional installation is recommended if cutting, welding, or flange modification is required.

Step-by-Step Exhaust Installation

Allow the exhaust system to cool completely
Exhaust components can remain extremely hot for hours after the vehicle has been turned off. Wait at least 1-2 hours or longer to ensure all components are safe to handle.

Safely raise and support the vehicle
Lift your vehicle using a floor jack and secure it with jack stands on a level surface. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Ensure the vehicle is stable before proceeding.

Inspect the factory exhaust system
Locate and identify the section of exhaust being replaced. Most muffler and cat-back systems install by removing components after the catalytic converter. Take photos for reference if needed.

Loosen and remove factory clamps or bolts
Apply penetrating oil to rusted hardware and let it soak for 10-15 minutes. Support the exhaust with one hand while removing hangers to prevent sudden drops that could cause injury or damage.

Install new exhaust components from front to rear
Begin installation at the front (closest to the engine) and work toward the rear. Connect each section but leave all clamps and fasteners slightly loose until the entire system is in place and properly aligned.

Check clearance and alignment
Verify adequate clearance around suspension components, heat shields, fuel lines, and body panels. Adjust the system as needed to prevent rattles, vibrations, or contact with other parts. Ensure exhaust tips are positioned correctly.

Tighten all clamps and bolts evenly
Once proper alignment is confirmed and clearances are verified, tighten all clamps and bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. Work from front to rear, tightening evenly to ensure a secure, leak-free connection.

Start the vehicle and check for leaks
Start your engine and listen carefully for exhaust leaks, unusual sounds, or rattles. Check all connection points for leaks. Re-tighten connections if necessary. Allow the system to warm up and perform a final inspection.
