The Stock Silverado Intake Plenum Restriction

In stock trim, sudden throttle tip-in induces high-velocity air shear and turbulent boundary layers right at the manifold entry. This turbulence disrupts uniform air column velocity into the runner tracts, creating noticeable low-rpm lag under load and dulling initial throttle response, especially when towing or hauling heavy payloads.
