These stock pipes are also constructed from low-grade materials prone to surface corrosion and structural fatigue at the flex joints. The restrictive nature of the factory merge prevents the VQ35DE and VQ35HR engines from efficiently evacuating spent gases, which limits torque production and mutes the distinct exhaust note of the Nissan V6.
