Mechanic’s Pro Tip (The "Gotcha"):
The GM Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors on these V6 platforms (LX9, LZ4, LY7, and LZ9 engine codes) are notoriously sensitive. Touching the exposed wire element with your fingers or dropping the sensor will instantly throw a P0101 or P0171 lean code.
