Over time, thermal cycling and engine bay heat cause the plastic to become brittle, eventually leading to hairline cracks, micro-leaks, and catastrophic coolant pressure loss. Furthermore, the OEM core lacks the fluid volume and surface area required to dissipate the extreme heat generated by the high-revving F20C and F22C1 engines during sustained VTEC engagement, resulting in localized boiling and dangerous heat soak on the track.

The Engineering Solution

This upgraded performance radiator eliminates the structural weakness of crimped plastic by utilizing 100% TIG-welded all-aluminum construction. The core is upgraded to a dense 2-row full aluminum design (DPI: 2344), drastically increasing both coolant capacity and fin surface area. This enhanced thermal mass allows for superior convective heat transfer, drawing thermal energy out of the coolant loop faster than the stock unit. The reinforced aluminum end tanks handle higher systemic pressures without flexing, ensuring reliable operation at the F-Series engine's 8,000 to 9,000 RPM redline.
