The factory radiators on the GMT900 and K2XX heavy-duty platforms often utilize plastic end tanks crimped to a thin aluminum core. This replacement radiator utilizes an Al-Mg (Aluminum-Magnesium) alloy construction with a 100% TIG-welded, full aluminum core measuring 34 1/16" W x 23 1/8" H. By eliminating the plastic end tanks, structural integrity under high-pressure scenarios is permanently restored. The advanced tube-and-fin architecture dramatically increases the thermal surface area, yielding a 30% to 45% improvement in cooling efficiency over the stock unit. Additionally, the expanded core depth increases total coolant capacity, which creates a higher thermal buffer to absorb temperature surges.
