In engines like the Mercedes M112 V6, the stock filtration media creates significant restriction as it loads with dust, leading to sluggish throttle response and reduced efficiency. Furthermore, standard filters allow particles up to 10 microns to pass through, which is less than ideal for long-term cylinder wall protection.

The Solution: This BMC performance filter replaces the restrictive factory paper with multi-layered cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil. We engineered this part to correct the factory design flaws of the M113 V8 and similar high-displacement engines, delivering a 7-micron filtration rating while significantly increasing the volume of air available during high-load pulls. Unlike the stock unit, this is a "Full Moulding" design with no welded joints, ensuring it won’t crack or leak under engine bay heat.
