Performance Air Filter for BMW Z4 G29 & Toyota GR Supra (2018-2026)

High-Flow Replacement Air Filter for BMW Z4 (G29)

What it Does: The BMC Performance Air Filter replaces the restrictive stock paper element in the BMW Z4 airbox to lower intake depression, maximize volumetric efficiency, and accelerate turbo spool response.

The Stock BMW Z4 Air Intake Restriction

Factory G29 airboxes come equipped with dense, dry cellulose paper filters engineered strictly for extended service intervals rather than airflow performance. Under elevated boost levels, this tightly packed media creates an intake pressure differential that increases parasitic pumping losses across the B58 and B48 turbo engines. Over time, surface dust quickly blindfolds the paper pores, restricting flow and elevating intake air temperatures.

The Engineering Solution

Engineered to precise OEM dimensions, this direct-fit drop-in element utilizes multi-layered surgical cotton gauze treated with low-viscosity wetting oil. The media is reinforced with an epoxy-coated aluminum mesh to withstand high-vacuum conditions without collapsing. The perimeter uses a one-piece polyurethane mold with no welded joints, eliminating perimeter blow-by and ensuring a 100% airtight seal inside the factory housing while retaining filtration efficiency down to 7 microns.

Frequently Asked Questions & Fitment Warnings

Does this fit the G29 Z4?

Yes, this is a direct fit for the BMW Z4 equipped with the B48 2.0L or B58 3.0L engine and requires no modifications to the factory intake plumbing.

Will this oiled filter trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL) or damage the MAF sensor?

No, the specialized low-viscosity oil is bonded directly into the cotton gauze fibers and will not atomize or contaminate hot-wire sensors when maintained to factory specifications.

The BMW Precision Standard

Manufactured to strict European tolerances, this drop-in filter delivers enhanced intake acoustic feedback and sustained high-RPM airflow without disturbing sensitive factory ECU trim calibrations or generating check engine lights.
