Direct-Fit 4-Piece Oxygen Sensor Kit for 2011-2014 Ford Edge (CD3)
What it Does: The Direct-Fit 4-Piece Oxygen Sensor Kit replaces worn upstream and downstream lambda sensors on the 2011-2014 Ford Edge to restore closed-loop fuel trim accuracy and resolve emissions-related check engine lights.
The Stock Ford Edge Sensor Degradation
Exhaust heat cycling and high mileage cause the factory zirconia sensing elements in the CD3 platform to suffer from silica poisoning, soot accumulation, and slow signal response. On transverse-mounted Duratec 35 and Duratec 37 V6 engines, degraded OEM sensors lead to fuel trim drift, erratic air-fuel ratios, reduced fuel economy, and persistent diagnostic trouble codes such as P0135, P0141, P0420, or P0430.
The Engineering Solution
This comprehensive replacement kit incorporates dual-laser-welded stainless steel bodies to isolate the ceramic planar sensing elements from moisture and thermal shock. Engineered with rapid-acting integrated ceramic heating circuits, these sensors quickly achieve target operational temperatures to transition the powertrain control module (PCM) into closed-loop fueling. Featuring factory-pinned wiring harnesses and factory-correct pigtail lengths, this four-sensor package directly interchanges with 234-4489, 234-5038, and BR3Z-9G444-A without wire splicing.
