High-Flow Single Plane Intake Manifold for 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro (LS1/F-Body)

Designed for high-RPM performance and EFI conversions: This single-plane aluminum intake manifold replaces the factory composite manifold to optimize airflow characteristics between 2500 and 7000 RPM for LS-based applications.

The Stock Camaro LS1 Airflow Limitation

The OEM composite LS1 intake manifold is engineered for low-end torque, but becomes a severe restriction past 5500 RPM. Long factory runners and a restrictive plenum limit volumetric efficiency in forced induction or aggressive cam setups. Additionally, the stock composite material is susceptible to cracking under high boost. Factory fuel rails also struggle to deliver adequate volume for larger injectors, limiting potential on high-horsepower F-Body builds.

The Engineering Solution

Constructed from cast aluminum with a black finish, this single-plane manifold targets cathedral port LS1, LS2, and LS6 heads. Utilizing a 4150 square bore base and a 5.417-inch intake height, it straightens the runner path (2.50" H x 1.15" W port size) to drastically increase high-RPM plenum volume. This shifts the powerband into the 2500-7000 RPM range, making it ideal for large EFI throttle bodies or carbureted conversions. Included extruded aluminum fuel rails and heavy-duty mounting hardware ensure consistent fueling, eliminating the mechanical bottlenecks of the factory plastic unit.
