Ignition Coil & Iridium Spark Plugs for Toyota Sequoia Tundra (2005-2009) 4.7L V8

High-Dielectric Ignition Coil & Iridium Spark Plug Kit for 2005-2009 Toyota Tundra, Sequoia (2UZ-FE / UCK)

Restores critical secondary ignition voltage and combustion efficiency for the 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8, eliminating misfires and power loss under load.

The Stock 2UZ-FE Ignition Heat Soak Issue

The OEM coil-on-plug (COP) ignition system on the 2005-2009 Toyota 4.7L V8 suffers from severe thermal degradation. Constant exposure to extreme engine bay temperatures causes the factory epoxy to micro-crack. Once the dielectric casing fractures, secondary voltage leaks directly to the cylinder head. This heat soak phenomenon results in intermittent misfires, lost low-end torque during towing, and rough idling. Furthermore, worn standard spark plugs increase electrical resistance, forcing the stock coils to operate at maximum duty cycles, rapidly accelerating their failure rate.

The Engineering Solution

This replacement kit solves chronic 2UZ-FE ignition failure by combining heavily insulated coils with performance-grade iridium spark plugs. The upgraded coils feature a high-dielectric epoxy resin formulated to resist thermal breakdown, protecting the internal copper windings from heat-induced micro-fractures. These coils maximize magnetic field density to consistently deliver high-voltage energy without parasitic loss. Paired with ultra-fine wire iridium center electrodes, the system lowers the voltage required to bridge the spark gap. Iridium's high melting point ensures gap precision over thousands of miles, delivering a stabilized idle, optimized fuel economy, and restored towing power.
