Furthermore, the short, poorly matched internal runners force exhaust pulses from the five individual cylinders to collide, creating severe turbulence and backpressure. The Engineering Solution

This 5-1 racing-spec header resolves these flow restrictions by utilizing computerized mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel tubing. The elongated primary tubes are optimized specifically for the 2.4L inline-5 firing order, ensuring exhaust gas pulses combine smoothly rather than fighting each other. This scavenging effect actively pulls spent gasses out of the combustion chamber, increasing volumetric efficiency. TIG-welded CNC machined flanges guarantee a leak-free seal and resist warping under extreme thermal cycling. The system incorporates a 4-bolt flexpipe with bracket insertion to absorb drivetrain movement, preventing stress fractures.
