What it Does: Replaces restrictive factory exhaust piping with 3.50-inch mandrel-bent SS409 stainless steel to reduce backpressure and lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) on the 6.0L Power Stroke engine.

The Stock F-250, F-350 Flow Restriction

The factory exhaust system on the 2003-2007 Super Duty is a primary bottleneck for the 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel. OEM piping often utilizes crush-bending techniques that decrease the internal diameter at every curve, creating significant turbulence and parasitic backpressure. For the Navistar VT365’s variable geometry turbo (VGT) system, this restriction hinders the turbine's ability to shed heat efficiently. This leads to elevated Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs), which can eventually stress the head gaskets and oil cooler—two critical failure points on this specific engine platform. Furthermore, the stock diameter limits the total volume of spent gases that can be evacuated during high-load towing or aggressive acceleration.
