The Stock S-Class Restriction

The M113K Supercharged V8 generates a tremendous volume of exhaust gas, but the factory W220 manifolds are severely compromised by tight packaging constraints and cost-effective cast construction. The stock log-style manifolds create high exhaust gas back pressure, increasing cylinder head temperatures and inducing heat soak under heavy load. This bottleneck chokes the supercharger's efficiency, limiting volumetric flow, capping horsepower at higher RPMs, and heavily muffling the distinctive AMG V8 exhaust note.

The Engineering Solution

Upgrading to these mid-length, high-flow headers fundamentally alters the exhaust dynamics of the M113K engine. Featuring wider primary pipes and optimized collector geometry, this system substantially reduces back pressure and promotes superior exhaust scavenging. Evacuating spent gases faster decreases cylinder temperatures and minimizes pumping losses. This allows the supercharged engine to breathe freely, translating to significant performance gains—up to a 15 percent increase in horsepower and torque. The kit includes integrated downpipes to complete the transition.
