Furthermore, the stamped factory piping is prone to heat cycle fatigue and often produces an undesirable, unrefined deceleration pop. By failing to properly synchronize the exhaust pulses from the left and right engine banks, the stock H-pipe limits the scavenging effect, restricting the full volumetric efficiency of the LS-series engines.

This upgraded X-pipe kit introduces a true intersecting crossover design constructed from heavy-gauge T-304 stainless steel. The 3.00-inch primary tubing promotes maximum exhaust flow velocity before smoothly stepping down to 2.50 inches at the ends to seamlessly mate with the factory or aftermarket axle-back exhaust systems. By actively merging the exhaust pulses at the central 'X' junction, this system creates a vacuum effect that actively pulls exhaust gases out of the combustion chamber. This optimized scavenging lowers exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) and mitigates heat soak under the center tunnel. The T-304 stainless steel resists corrosion and thermal stress significantly better than factory materials.
