Mechanic’s Pro Tip (The "Gotcha"):
The 1996-2004 Chevrolet S-10 4.3L Vortec engine features a flat plastic IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor pushed directly into the factory rubber tubing. After two decades of under-hood heat cycles, the retaining tab is incredibly brittle. Do not pry it with a screwdriver. Gently twist and wiggle it free by hand. If you snap it, you will be making a trip to the parts store before your Dime can run right.
