Tools You Will Need

• 10mm Socket, Ratchet & 6-Inch Extension (For battery, airbox bolts, and core support brackets)
• 8mm Socket or Nut Driver (For securing all hose clamps)
• Panel Popper / Trim Removal Tool (Crucial for the factory plastic clips)
• Needle Nose Pliers (For factory PCV spring clamps)
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver & 4mm Allen Key (For handling the MAF sensors and aftermarket hardware)

Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part

1. Disconnect the Battery: Always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal using a 10mm wrench to prevent check engine lights and protect the sensitive electronics on your 2009-2019 Nissan 370Z 3.7L.
2. Remove the Radiator Shroud: Use your panel popper to carefully extract the plastic push clips securing the front core support/radiator cooling panel. Set the panel aside to gain access to the front of the airboxes.
3. Unplug the MAF Sensors: Locate the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors on both factory intake tubes. Press the tab on the gray harnesses and carefully pull to unplug them. Unclip the wiring harness from the airbox housing.
4. Disconnect PCV Lines: Use your needle nose pliers to pinch and slide back the spring clamps on the factory PCV breather hoses connected to the intake tubes. Twist and pull the hoses free.
5. Extract the OEM Intakes: Use an 8mm socket to loosen the hose clamps at the throttle bodies. Then, use a 10mm socket and extension to remove the mounting bolt securing each factory airbox to the chassis. Firmly pull the entire airbox and tube assemblies out of the engine bay.

Phase 2: Installing the Cold Air Intake for Nissan 370Z (2009-2019) 3.7L Engine - Blue

1. Transfer the MAF Sensors (SENSOR PROTOCOL): Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the MAF sensors from the factory tubes. DO NOT touch the internal wire element or drop them. Transfer them to your new aftermarket tubes in the exact same orientation, securing them with the provided hardware (typically a 4mm Allen key).
2. Install the Silicone Couplers: Slide the provided silicone couplers onto the factory throttle bodies. Slide two hose clamps onto each coupler, but leave them loose. Slide the new blue intake tubes into the couplers and snug the clamps down slightly with your 8mm socket to hold them in place.
3. Route and Mount the System: Align the intake tubes so they clear the core support and radiator hoses. Secure the aftermarket bracket to the factory 10mm mounting point using your 10mm socket.
4. Install Filters and PCV Lines: Slide the blue cone filters onto the ends of the intake tubes and tighten the clamps with your 8mm socket. Push the factory PCV breather hoses onto the new intake tube nipples and secure them with the OEM spring clamps using your pliers. Go back and fully tighten the throttle body clamps.
5. Final Check and ECU Reset: Reconnect the MAF sensor wiring harnesses until they click. Reinstall the radiator cooling panel and push clips. Finally, reconnect the negative battery terminal with your 10mm wrench. Turn the key to start the vehicle. CRITICAL: On the first startup, do not touch the gas pedal for at least 20 seconds. Let the car idle so the ECU can adapt to the increased airflow and calibrate the throttle bodies.
