The 2008-2013 Infiniti G37 3.7L runs a dual throttle body setup, which means you have TWO Mass Airflow (MAF) sensors. These sensors are incredibly sensitive to dust and impact. Handle them like glass. Furthermore, the factory rubber PCV breather hoses on the VQ platform heat-cycle aggressively. They practically weld themselves to the OEM plastic tubes. Do not just yank them off, or you will tear the hose. Use pliers to gently twist the hose left and right to break the seal before pulling it backward.

Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part

Disconnect the Battery: Always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal using a 10mm wrench to prevent check engine lights and protect the ECU.
Remove the Engine Cover: Use your 10mm socket to remove the bolts securing the factory engine cover. Lift it off and set it aside.
