The Stock Genesis Induction Deficit

The OEM plastic intake tract features corrugated, accordion-style sections and internal resonance chambers designed to muffle engine sound. These features create significant boundary layer turbulence and airflow restriction. Additionally, the stock plastic components are highly susceptible to heat soak; during prolonged operation, the material absorbs ambient engine bay heat, raising intake air temperatures (IATs) and forcing the ECU to retard ignition timing, which directly reduces the engine's 348-horsepower potential.

The Engineering Solution

This intake system is constructed from high-quality, mandrel-bent aluminum piping to ensure a constant diameter and smooth internal surface area, promoting laminar flow into the throttle body. The aluminum is treated with a black powder coating that provides a thermal barrier against engine bay heat and superior corrosion resistance. By eliminating the restrictive factory baffles and replacing them with a direct-path pipe, this kit reduces vacuum loss and increases the volume of oxygen-dense air available during the combustion cycle. This mechanical upgrade allows the GDI V6 to breathe more freely at high RPMs while providing a more aggressive, metallic induction note under heavy load.
