Installation Note:
After installation, disconnect the negative battery terminal for approximately 30 seconds to allow the engine control unit to reset. This allows the ECU to recalibrate fuel delivery and ignition timing parameters to optimize performance with the modified airflow characteristics. Always disconnect the battery before performing any engine bay work. The ECU will continue to adapt during normal driving operation.

Filter Maintenance

Inspection Schedule: Inspect the air filter every 5,000 miles and clean if necessary. Driving conditions such as dusty environments, urban traffic, or spirited driving may require more frequent inspection and cleaning.

Cleaning Procedure (Stainless Steel Mesh Filter): Remove the filter from the intake tube. Gently tap the filter to remove loose debris. Apply an appropriate filter cleaning solution or degreaser to both the inside and outside of the stainless steel mesh element. Use a soft brush to work the cleaner into the mesh if necessary. Rinse the filter thoroughly with low-pressure water until all cleaning solution is removed and water runs clear. Shake off excess water and allow the filter to air dry completely in a clean environment. Once fully dry, the filter is ready to reinstall. Stainless steel mesh filters do not require oil application.
