The Stock Charger Air Intake Shortcomings

This cold air intake system mitigates factory restrictions utilizing a 3.5-inch diameter hard pipe featuring a wrinkle red powder-coated finish for optimal thermal dissipation and internal flow velocity. By replacing the corrugated OEM tube with smooth-bore piping, it drastically reduces airflow turbulence, delivering a larger, denser volume of oxygen directly to the throttle body. The system integrates a high-capacity 6-inch dry conical filter—requiring no oiling, thereby preventing sensor fouling over time. A robust wrinkle black heat shield separates the filtration element from the engine compartment, physically blocking radiant under-hood heat and ensuring the intake charge remains as dense and cold as possible.
