Unleash the hidden growl of your LH-platform V6 and delete that restrictive factory air box.

High-Flow Cold Air Intake System for 1993-2004 Chrysler Concorde (2.7L/3.2L/3.3L/3.5L V6)

The stock Chrysler Concorde intake is buried under a mess of restrictive baffling and "accordion" style tubing that kills airflow. Whether you’re running the 2.7L, 3.2L, 3.3L, or the high-output 3.5L, this kit replaces those plastic resonators with mandrel-bent T304 aluminum.

Because all 1993-2004 Concorde V6 engines share a similar throttle body orientation on the LH chassis, this kit provides a universal bolt-on solution. It effectively bridges the gap between the throttle body and the fender well to pull in cooler, denser oxygen.

You’ll finally hear that deep V6 induction note that the factory silencers were designed to hide. This isn't just a cosmetic upgrade; it’s about fixing the "lazy" throttle response common on these older Mopar cruisers.

Technical Specifications

Fitment 1993-2004 Chrysler Concorde
Engine / Chassis 2.7L, 3.2L, 3.3L, 3.5L V6 (LH Platform)
Material Lightweight T304 Polished Aluminum
Filter Type Washable/Reusable High-Flow Cotton Media

Why You Need This Upgrade

  • Throttle Response: Replaces the ribbed factory hose with smooth-bore aluminum to eliminate air turbulence and "dead spots."
  • Aggressive Induction Sound: Deletes the factory resonator box to give your Concorde a throaty, sporty growl under heavy acceleration.
  • Maintenance Savings: The included high-flow filter is fully washable—stop buying paper filters every 15,000 miles.
  • Increased Efficiency: Maximizes the airflow through the stock manifold, allowing for up to a 10% boost in usable torque.

Installation & Fitment Notes

Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process that typically takes less than 60 minutes with basic hand tools. Crucial Tip: You must disconnect your battery terminal for at least 10 minutes during the install. This allows the PCM (Engine Computer) to reset and "learn" the new, higher airflow parameters of the intake.

Ditch the plastic restrictions and give your Concorde the breathing room it deserves.

Installation & Tools

The Wrench Time

  • Estimated Time: 45-60 Minutes
  • Difficulty: 3/10 - Straightforward bolt-on, but you’ll be fighting 20-year-old brittle Chrysler plastics and tight spaces.

Tools You Will Need

  • 10mm wrench and 10mm socket with a 1/4-inch drive ratchet
  • 8mm socket or a flat-blade screwdriver (for hose clamps)
  • 13mm socket with a 6-inch extension (for airbox mounting brackets)
  • Panel popper tool (for removing the factory fresh air scoop clips)
  • Silicone spray or soapy water (crucial for seating the intake sensor)
Mechanic’s Pro Tip (The "Gotcha"):
Anyone who has wrenched on the LH platform knows the factory corrugated rubber intake tube turns into hard plastic after two decades. When removing the factory Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, do not pry it with a screwdriver! The sensor probe is highly fragile. Gently twist and wiggle it out. Also, the 2nd-gen Concorde hides the battery in the passenger fender well—save yourself the headache and disconnect power via the remote negative jump post under the hood.

Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part

  1. Disconnect the Battery: Always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal (or the remote negative post on the passenger side strut tower) using a 10mm wrench or 13mm socket to prevent throwing a check engine light on your 1993-2004 Chrysler Concorde 2.7L 3.2L 3.3L 3.5L.
  2. Loosen the Factory Clamps: Grab your 8mm socket or flathead screwdriver and fully loosen the hose clamps securing the intake tube to the throttle body and the factory airbox lid.
  3. Extract the IAT Sensor: Locate the Intake Air Temperature sensor plugged into the side of the rubber intake tract. Press the release tab to unplug the wiring harness, then carefully twist and pull the sensor body out of the factory rubber grommet by hand. Set it aside in a safe location.
  4. Remove the Intake Tube and Airbox: Pull the factory rubber tube off the throttle body. Next, use a panel popper tool to remove the push-clips holding the fresh air scoop above the radiator. Finally, use your 10mm socket and an extension to unbolt the lower airbox housing and resonator, then yank the entire bulky assembly out of the engine bay.

Phase 2: Installing the Cold Air Intake for Chrysler Concorde (1993-2004) All Models

  1. Assemble the Heat Shield: Piece together the aftermarket heat shield using the supplied hardware. Drop it into the space where the factory airbox sat and secure it to the OEM mounting points using your 10mm socket.
  2. Mount the Silicone Coupler: Slide the provided silicone coupler over the engine’s throttle body. Slip two hose clamps over the coupler. Snug down the throttle body side using your 8mm socket, but leave the intake-tube side loose for adjustments.
  3. Transfer the IAT Sensor: Push the supplied rubber grommet into the pre-drilled hole on your new aluminum intake pipe. Apply a single drop of silicone spray or soapy water to the grommet inner lip. Carefully push and twist the factory IAT sensor into the new pipe until it seats flush. Do not force it.
  4. Install the Tube and Filter: Slide the new cold air intake pipe into the throttle body coupler. Attach the high-flow cone filter to the end of the pipe inside the heat shield. Check for clearance away from belts and hoses, then tighten all hose clamps securely with your 8mm socket. Finally, reconnect the IAT sensor wiring harness until it clicks.
  5. The 20-Second Rule: Reconnect your negative battery terminal. Start the engine, but do not touch the gas pedal for at least 20 seconds. The Concorde’s ECU needs this idle time to read the new airflow volume from the IAT and adjust the fuel trims properly.
