The 1999-2004 Chrysler 300 3.5L utilizes a speed-density system, meaning it uses a MAP and an IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor instead of a MAF sensor. The IAT sensor is jammed into the factory rubber tube. After two decades of under-hood heat cycles, the factory rubber grommet is rock hard, and the PCV make-up air hose attached to the tube is notoriously brittle. Do not yank these parts. Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part
