The OBS (Old Body Style) GMT400 chassis is notorious for having brittle Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensors. When pulling the IAT out of the factory rubber accordion hose, DIYers often snap the plastic probe right off. Phase 1: Removing the Factory Part

  4. Mount the Intake Tube: Slide the provided silicone couplers over the throttle body and the new intake tube. Adjust the piping so it sits completely flush without rubbing on the alternator bracket, then torque the clamps down tight with an 8mm nut driver. Route and connect the supplied PCV breather hose.
  5. The 20-Second Rule: Reconnect your negative battery terminal. Start the engine. Do not touch the gas pedal for at least 20 seconds.
