The corrugated factory inlet tubes introduce turbulent airflow, disrupting the velocity of the air entering the twin turbochargers. Additionally, the heavily filtered stock setup severely muffles the natural induction sound and turbo spool of the 3.0L inline-six, masking the mechanical characteristics of the powertrain while limiting high-rpm volumetric efficiency.

This front-mount intake system fundamentally alters the induction pathway by relocating the filters to the front grille area, ensuring direct access to pressurized, ambient air. Utilizing 3.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, the system eliminates the restrictive ridges of the factory pipes, promoting laminar airflow and maximizing air mass entering the compressor housings. The matte black powder-coated aluminum construction effectively dissipates heat, mitigating engine bay thermal transfer. Coupled with CNC-machined billet aluminum fittings and dry-element, washable synthetic media filters, the kit ensures precise fitment, superior filtration without mass airflow (MAF) sensor fouling, and a pronounced induction resonance. This setup forces denser, oxygen-rich air into the S58, resulting in optimized ignition timing and sharper throttle input.
