This dense, hot air reduces the engine's volumetric efficiency, forcing the ECU to pull timing and restrict throttle response under sustained loads, ultimately hindering the turbo's spooling capabilities.

The Engineering Solution

This intake kit redesigns the airflow path using a 3.5-inch mandrel-bent, powder-coated aluminum inlet pipe. Aluminum offers superior structural rigidity and heat dissipation compared to factory plastics, while the smooth inner walls eliminate flow turbulence, increasing the velocity of the air column reaching the turbocharger. The system features a custom-fitted black heat shield to isolate the reusable dry-element red filter from radiant engine bay heat. By maximizing cooler, denser air intake, dyno testing confirms peak gains of 8 to 12 horsepower and matching torque at 4,000 RPM, translating to immediate throttle response and a pronounced induction tone.
