What it Does: This bolt-on dual cone intake replaces the restrictive factory airbox on N54 engines to maximize airflow, lower intake temperatures, and significantly amplify turbo spool acoustics.

The Stock N54 Airbox Restriction

The factory intake system on the 3.0L N54 is compromised by noise-canceling baffles and a restrictive panel filter. Under high boost, this plastic assembly creates pressure drops, starving the turbos of oxygen. The OEM design also suffers from heat soak in the cramped engine bay, limiting volumetric efficiency and muffling the turbochargers and blow-off valve.

The Engineering Solution

This dual cone intake kit eliminates the factory airbox bottlenecks. By utilizing massive dual inverted-cone filters, the system exponentially increases the surface area for the twin turbos. Paired with dual transition velocity stacks, it ensures smooth, laminar airflow directly into the factory inlets. This high-flow configuration improves throttle response and top-end breathing.
