Catalytic Converter Set for Toyota Tacoma (2000-2004) 3.4L Front & Rear

Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter Set for 2000-2004 Toyota Tacoma (N140/N150)

What it Does: The catalytic converter set replaces the clogged or degraded front and rear catalytic converters on the 2000-2004 Toyota Tacoma to resolve catalyst efficiency trouble codes and restore proper exhaust flow.

The Stock Toyota Tacoma Catalyst Deterioration

Over extended operating cycles, OEM converters on the N140/N150 platform degrade due to accumulated thermal stress, oil vapor fouling, and washcoat sintering. This causes internal core fracturing or substrate melting, which restricts exhaust gas velocity out of the 5VZ-FE engine. The resulting backpressure suffocates top-end engine power, degrades fuel economy, and triggers diagnostic trouble codes P0420 and P0430.

The Engineering Solution

This replacement front and rear catalyst system is constructed with heavy-gauge 409 stainless steel tubing and precision-machined flanges engineered to resist rust and exhaust blow-by. Inside, an upgraded 600 CPSI cordierite ceramic honeycomb substrate features an optimized washcoat of palladium and rhodium for reliable chemical emissions reduction. Mandrel-bent geometry maintains smooth exhaust scavenging, while factory-located oxygen sensor bungs accept OEM sensors without wire splicing.
