Catalytic Converter for Toyota Camry (2007-2009) 2.4L

Direct-Fit Front Catalytic Converter for 2007-2009 Toyota Camry (XV40)

What it Does: The direct-fit catalytic converter replaces the degraded factory emissions unit on the 2007-2009 Toyota Camry to eliminate P0420 catalyst efficiency trouble codes and restore proper exhaust scavenging.

The Stock Toyota Camry Substrate Breakdown

The factory catalytic converter on the XV40 platform often deteriorates as mileage accumulates, exacerbated by oil vapor blow-by typical of aging 2AZ-FE engines. Thermal cycling and internal carbon accumulation degrade the OEM ceramic matrix, causing substrate sintering, structural fractures, and restricted exhaust flow. This restriction increases cylinder head backpressure, reduces engine efficiency, and triggers persistent check engine lights.

The Engineering Solution

Engineered as a bolt-in replacement, this catalytic assembly utilizes heavy-duty 409 stainless steel tubing to resist road corrosion and continuous thermal shock. Internally, a durable ceramic honeycomb substrate is treated with a high-grade catalytic washcoat to deliver optimal conversion of harmful emissions without bottlenecking exhaust gases. Precision-stamped OEM-style flanges and factory-positioned O2 sensor bungs ensure leak-free sealing and factory harness reach without cutting, welding, or custom fabrication.
