The Stock Liberty Thermal Limitations

The factory KJ cooling system utilizes crimped composite end tanks mated to a thin single-row core. Over repeated thermal cycles, the plastic tanks embrittle, leading to micro-fractures around the upper inlet neck and leaks at the crimp gasket. Furthermore, the OEM mechanical fan configuration delivers insufficient airflow at low engine RPM, causing elevated operating temperatures during low-speed rock crawling, trail idle, and heavy towing.

The Engineering Solution

This cooling kit replaces plastic components with 100% TIG-welded aluminum construction, fully eliminating cracked tank failures and blown crimp seals. The brazed 3-row tube-and-fin aluminum core significantly increases fluid capacity and heat-dissipating surface area. Combined with a dedicated aluminum shroud and high-output electric puller fan, this unit ensures constant, high-velocity airflow across the entire core face regardless of vehicle speed.
