The Stock 5500 Cooling Bottleneck

High thermal cycling and cooling system pressures generated under continuous heavy-duty hauling cause the factory composite plastic to embrittle and fatigue. This leads to gasket blowout, stress cracks along the tank seams, and rapid coolant loss, resulting in elevated engine operating temperatures and reduced heat rejection capacity.

This replacement radiator is manufactured from aircraft-grade AA5052 aluminum with 100% TIG-welded tank-to-core seams, eliminating failure-prone plastic joints and crimps. Featuring a heavy-duty 3-row core measuring 26.61" x 32.60" x 1.73", it increases fluid capacity and core tube surface area. The dense fin-and-tube geometry optimizes convective heat transfer across the frontal profile while resisting core flex under severe commercial chassis torsional loads.
