The Stock 1500 Cooling Weakness

Factory DT-chassis radiators rely on crimped plastic end tanks bonded to a single-row core via rubber gaskets. Under sustained towing or ambient heat exceeding 90°F, continuous thermal expansion cycles fatigue the composite tanks. This leads to hairline fractures along the tank seams, degraded fin efficiency, and coolant loss, resulting in elevated cylinder head temperatures on the 5.7L HEMI.

The Engineering Solution

Engineered from high-tensile AA5052 aircraft-grade aluminum, this 3-row radiator features 100% TIG-welded end tanks, eliminating failure-prone crimped gaskets. The expanded 44 mm (1.73 in) core houses three parallel fluid rows, significantly increasing surface contact area and fluid dwell time. This construction promotes rapid convective heat transfer, preventing heat soak and keeping coolant temperatures stable under extreme payload demands.
