The Stock X761 Airflow Bottleneck

The factory air intake setup on the F-Pace SVR AJ133 supercharged engine utilizes dense, paper-pleated filters designed primarily for acoustic dampening. While effective at hiding supercharger whine, these OEM filters present a significant aerodynamic bottleneck. Under high-load conditions, the paper media creates an unwanted pressure drop across the intake tract, forcing the twin-vortex supercharger to work harder to draw in ambient air. This mechanical restriction exacerbates heat soak within the cramped X761 engine bay and limits the raw throttle response characteristic of the 5.0L V8.

The Engineering Solution

Integrating this performance filter kit directly into the OEM airboxes eliminates the factory pressure drop while retaining the engineered thermal shielding of the stock enclosure. Constructed from premium multi-layer, high-flow media framed in durable polyurethane, these filters maximize the exposed surface area for significantly improved CFM (cubic feet per minute) flow rates. By retaining the stock intake tubes (not included in this kit), the factory mass airflow (MAF) sensor scaling remains completely untouched, ensuring a direct drop-in installation. This modification reduces supercharger parasitic loss, optimizes pre-compressor air velocity, and safely increases supercharger induction sound.
