The polished interior eliminates boundary layer turbulence, delivering a laminar column of air directly to the turbocharger to drastically decrease spool time and increase throttle sensitivity. To combat thermal degradation, a dedicated heat shield isolates the high-flow, washable dry cone filter from ambient engine bay radiant heat, ensuring denser, oxygen-rich air enters the manifold. The combination of unrestricted flow and cooler intake charges yields a verified 7 to 10 percent increase in horsepower and a 6 to 8 percent increase in torque.
