Due to intense thermal cycling, these OEM pipes frequently crack and leak exhaust drive pressure before it reaches the turbine. This translates directly to sluggish spool times, higher exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), and a severe loss of power and fuel economy. Additionally, the factory Exhaust Back Pressure Valve (EBPV) actuator rod located in the turbo pedestal is heavily prone to leaking oil as the internal seals deteriorate, leaving messy oil drips and creating potential engine starvation risks if left unaddressed.
