Over decades of heat cycles and pressure spikes, these plastic tanks become brittle, developing stress fractures along the crimp seam that cause sudden coolant loss. Furthermore, the stock core configuration provides limited tube-to-fin surface area, resulting in rapid heat soak during extended idling, towing, or steep off-road climbs with the 2.4L or 3.0L powertrains.

The Engineering Solution

Constructed entirely from aircraft-grade aluminum with 2 mm TIG-welded tanks, this drop-in performance unit eliminates failure-prone plastic and epoxy joints. The core features a 3-row downflow configuration with vacuum-brazed construction, tight 3/8-inch tube spacing, and 14–16 fins per inch (FPI), improving heat dissipation efficiency by 35% to 45% over OEM specifications.
