Furthermore, the OEM core lacks the volumetric capacity required for efficient thermal dissipation when hauling heavy loads or navigating steep grades, resulting in heat soak, elevated Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT), and premature wear on engine internals.

The Engineering Solution

This performance replacement eliminates weak plastic components in favor of 100% TIG-welded, full aluminum construction without the use of epoxy. The core is vacuum brazed and engineered to a high-density racing specification, utilizing a 1-row tube design with a massive footprint of 31.96" W x 16.85" H. Thermal transfer is maximized by increasing fin density to 14-16 fins per inch and tightening cooling row spacing to 3/8", cramming approximately 1,500 more fins into the core than standard aftermarket units. This geometry significantly expands the surface area, yielding a 35% to 45% increase in cooling efficiency and providing a higher coolant capacity to stabilize temperatures under heavy mechanical strain.
