Factory cooling assemblies on the DN platform utilize plastic end tanks crimped onto an aluminum core using rubber gaskets. Constant thermal cycling, engine vibration, and pressure spikes cause these composite tanks to embrittle and crack along the crimp seam, resulting in rapid coolant evacuation and severe thermal stress on the 4.7L PowerTech cylinder heads. Furthermore, OEM single-row cores lack the heat dissipation capacity required under extended towing or high ambient temperatures, leading to fluid heat soak and elevated transmission temperatures.

The Engineering Solution

Constructed entirely from aircraft-grade aluminum, this 3-row crossflow performance radiator features a 100% TIG-welded assembly with zero failure-prone epoxy or plastic tanks. The vacuum-brazed 3-row core (23.4" W x 18.8" H) significantly expands cooling tube surface area and overall coolant capacity, delivering rapid heat transfer and optimal thermal stability. It features an integrated 5/8-18 UNF internal transmission oil cooler (TOC) to maintain automatic transmission fluid integrity during aggressive driving and heavy hauling.
