OEM units feature narrow tube diameters and low-density fin counts that fail to handle the increased thermal loads of modified Small Block (SBC) or Big Block (BBC) engines, particularly during prolonged idling or high-ambient temperatures. Over time, internal scale buildup, galvanic corrosion, and solder joint degradation lead to catastrophic pressure loss and consistent overheating issues.

The Engineering Solution

This complete cooling package addresses the B-Body thermal limits by deploying a 3-row, fully TIG-welded aluminum core design. The oversized 16.85-inch by 28.25-inch core maximizes surface area, optimizing ambient airflow dynamics and increasing overall fluid capacity. By transitioning from heavy brass to lightweight, highly heat-conductive aluminum, the system drastically lowers engine operating temperatures. The included custom-fit aluminum fan shroud forces air precisely through the entire core face, while the dual 12-inch, 10-blade electric fans pull an aggressive 1730 CFM at 2,250 RPM. This active airflow management eliminates low-speed heat soak. Furthermore, the integrated transmission oil cooler ensures both manual and automatic gearboxes maintain proper fluid viscosity during harsh driving conditions.
