Direct-Replacement Ignition Coil and Platinum Spark Plug Kit for 2009-2010 Ford F-350 (P356)
What it Does: The Ignition Coil and Platinum Spark Plug Kit restores factory combustion efficiency on the 2009-2010 Ford F-350 by eliminating cylinder misfires and stabilizing secondary ignition voltage under heavy load.
The Stock Ford F-350 Ignition Breakdown
Under sustained towing and heavy-duty work cycles, factory coil-on-plug units on the P356 platform suffer thermal degradation. Sustained engine bay heat breaks down the internal winding insulation and epoxy seals on aging coils, causing internal arcing, high secondary resistance, and erratic spark. Combined with electrode erosion on high-mileage spark plugs, the 5.4L Triton 3V Modular engine experiences hesitation, rough idling, fuel wash, and loss of towing power under cylinder load.
The Engineering Solution
This refresh package replaces compromised hardware with heavy-duty coil packs and genuine SP509 Motorcraft platinum spark plugs. The direct-fit coils utilize high-dielectric silicone boots and high-conductivity copper windings designed to resist thermal breakdown and prevent voltage leak to the cylinder head. The platinum-tipped plugs maintain a stable spark gap under high combustion pressure, ensuring complete fuel burn, smoother idle, and consistent cold-start ignition.
What's Included
- 8 Ignition Coils (OE Spec Boot and Connector)

Frequently Asked Questions & Fitment Warnings
Does this fit the P356 F-350?
Yes, this is a direct fit for the 2009-2010 Ford F-350 equipped with the 5.4L Triton 3V engine. This kit does not fit 6.8L V10 or 6.4L Power Stroke diesel applications.
Should spark plugs and coils be replaced simultaneously?
Yes, pairing fresh plugs with new coil packs prevents worn plug gap resistance from overloading and prematurely burning out new ignition coils.
The Ford Heavy-Duty Standard
Built to handle the high-thermal demands of commercial work and heavy towing, this ignition kit maintains steady spark energy across severe duty cycles, ensuring your Super Duty retains its rated haul capacity.
