This sustained thermal stress degrades the internal epoxy potting and primary/secondary copper windings, leading to internal voltage leaks. Consequently, the engine experiences weak spark delivery under load, manifesting as rough idling, delayed throttle response, hesitation, and cylinder misfire codes (P0300 series). Furthermore, OEM nickel or lower-grade platinum spark plugs deteriorate rapidly under these high-heat conditions, increasing the plug gap beyond specification and overworking the aging ignition coils.
