Mechanic’s Pro Tip (The "Gotcha"):

  5. Initialize the ECU Relearn: Reconnect the negative battery terminal with your 10mm wrench. Start the truck, but do not touch the gas pedal for at least 20 seconds. This critical step allows the ECU to read the new baseline idle airflow and adapt to the increased volume without stalling out or surging.
