Phase 2: Installing the Cold Air Intake for Acura ILX (2013-2015) 2.4L Engine Red

  1. Prep the Throttle Body: Wipe the lip of the factory throttle body with a clean rag. Slide the new silicone transition coupler onto the throttle body and hand-tighten the hose clamp just enough to hold it in place using your 8mm socket.
  2. Transfer the MAF Sensor (CRITICAL): Using your Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the two factory screws holding the MAF sensor in the original housing. Gently pull the sensor straight out.   5. Battery and ECU Relearn: Reconnect the negative battery terminal and tighten it down with your 10mm socket. Start the engine. On the first startup, the vehicle gas pedal should not be touched for a 20 seconds until the ECU adjusts to the massive increase in airflow. Check for any whistling or vacuum leaks.
