The Stock GranTurismo Intake Deficiency

The OEM intake assembly on the M145 GranTurismo features a convoluted "flex-groove" design engineered to accommodate engine movement but at the cost of significant internal turbulence. These internal ridges create air pockets and boundary layer separation, which increases the friction coefficient of the intake charge and slows velocity. Furthermore, the factory plastic sound chambers are undersized and tuned primarily for noise suppression rather than resonant quality, resulting in a muffled engine note and restricted volume in the upper RPM range where the Ferrari-derived V8 thrives. Over time, the factory rubber snorkel is also prone to heat soak and potential structural softening.

The kit includes dual oversized sound chambers fabricated from high-grade carbon fiber.
