The Stock Mariner Radiator Weakness

The OEM cooling module on the CD2 platform utilizes composite plastic end tanks crimped to a thin single-core matrix. Over extended heat cycles and thermal expansion, the polymer tanks become brittle, frequently cracking near the inlet/outlet necks or weeping at the perimeter crimp gaskets. Under continuous stop-and-go driving or towing conditions, the factory core suffers from heat saturation, risking cylinder head distortion and transmission fluid overheating.

The Engineering Solution

Constructed entirely from AA5052 aircraft-grade 2 mm aluminum, this radiator features 100% TIG-welded end tanks and an advanced vacuum-brazed core. The 3-row crossflow core measures 27-5/8 in x 18-1/16 in with 14-16 fins per inch (FPI) and 3/8-inch row spacing, vastly expanding the convective surface area for rapid thermal dissipation. It includes an OEM-style brass petcock drain, factory-spec 1.25-inch inlet and 1.5-inch outlet ports, and full direct-fit brackets that mate with factory shroud assemblies.
