Factory X350 cooling modules rely on composite plastic end-tanks crimped onto an aluminum core with rubber gaskets. Over repeated thermal cycles, radiant engine bay heat embrittles the plastic seams, leading to stress fractures, gasket degradation, and sudden coolant loss. Additionally, the restrictive stock single-row core struggles with heat dissipation under sustained loads, risking cylinder head distortion on the all-aluminum AJ-V8 engine.
The Engineering Solution
This heavy-duty radiator features a 4-row crossflow core fabricated entirely from aircraft-grade aluminum. Featuring 2 mm thick TIG-welded end tanks and a vacuum-brazed core, it eliminates mechanical crimps and failure-prone plastic. A dense 14–16 fins-per-inch matrix with 3/8-inch tube spacing dramatically expands effective heat exchange surface area. An integrated internal transmission oil cooler ensures fluid temperatures match optimal engine operating thresholds without auxiliary plumbing.
