The Stock Trailblazer Thermal & End-Tank Fatigue

Factory GMT360 cooling assemblies rely on plastic composite end tanks crimped to an aluminum core via rubber gaskets. Continuous thermal cycling from the Gen IV V8 engines degrades these polymer tanks over time, causing stress cracking, brittle tank failure, and leaks at the crimp joints. Under sustained towing or aggressive driving, the OEM core density struggles to shed heat efficiently, compromising both engine and automatic transmission operating temperatures.

The Engineering Solution

Constructed entirely from aircraft-grade AA5052 aluminum, this radiator features 100% TIG-welded tanks and a high-efficiency racing core design to eliminate mechanical crimp seams. The downflow core maximizes surface contact area to increase convective heat transfer under high thermal loads. It includes an integrated internal transmission oil cooler and a billet-style filler neck with radiator cap, providing a heavy-duty bolt-on replacement.
