High-Amp 180A Output Alternator for 2005-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer (CS6A)
What it Does: The High Output Alternator upgrades the factory charging system on the 2005-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer to provide a continuous 180 amps of stable current under heavy electrical load.
The Stock Mitsubishi Lancer Charging Deficiency
Factory charging systems on the CS6A chassis rely on an OEM alternator rated at just 80 to 90 amps. When running aftermarket audio amplifiers, supplemental gauges, or auxiliary electronics, the factory unit suffers from severe voltage drops at idle. Sustained high-amperage draw elevates internal temperatures, degrading the factory diodes and leading to premature stator breakdown, dimming headlights, and depleted battery reserve capacity.
The Engineering Solution
Engineered for high-demand electrical systems, this 180-amp replacement features high-purity copper stator windings and heavy-duty rectifiers housed within an aircraft-grade aluminum casting. The internal rotor is precision-balanced to minimize harmonic vibration at elevated engine speeds, while the upgraded diode pack dissipates heat efficiently to prevent thermal breakdown. It directly bolts into the factory brackets on the 4G94 engine block without requiring bracket modifications.

Frequently Asked Questions & Fitment Warnings
Does this fit the CS6A Lancer?
Yes, this is a direct fit for the 2005-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer equipped with the 4G94 2.0L naturally aspirated engine.
Do I need to upgrade my main power wiring?
Yes, running a "Big 3" 4-gauge or 1/0-gauge wiring upgrade from the alternator positive post to the battery is strongly recommended to handle the full 180-amp output safely.
The Mitsubishi Standard
Designed to deliver consistent electrical stability for high-output JDM platforms, this unit maintains tight voltage regulation across the entire rev band.
