High-Output 200-Amp Alternator for 2003-2007 Honda Accord (CM5/CM7)
What it Does: The high-output alternator replaces the factory 105-amp charging unit on the 2003-2007 Honda Accord to stabilize system voltage and provide 200 amps of reliable current under heavy auxiliary electrical loads.
The Stock Honda Accord Charging Limitation
The factory CM5/CM7 chassis charging circuit relies on an OEM Denso 105-amp unit calibrated strictly for bare factory accessory loads. When subjected to aftermarket audio installations, high-draw lighting, or auxiliary electronics, the stock alternator induces rapid voltage drop below 12.8 volts at idle. Sustained high current demand accelerates thermal breakdown of the stock stator windings and undersized OEM diode pack, leading to premature diode ripple, dimming lights, and erratic ignition coil pack performance on the K-Series platform.
The Engineering Solution
Engineered and assembled in the USA, this high-output replacement utilizes a precision-wound 200-amp hairpin-style stator and a heavy-duty rotor balanced for continuous operation across the K24A4 and K24A8 rev range. Featuring heavy-gauge copper conductors, low-resistance insulation, and high-temp rated avalanche diodes, this architecture dissipates heat significantly faster than factory equipment while delivering stable 14.4-volt output to eliminate battery drain and maintain peak spark energy.

Frequently Asked Questions & Fitment Warnings
Does this fit the CM5/CM7 Accord?
Yes, this is a direct bolt-on fit for the 2003-2007 Honda Accord equipped with the K24A4 or K24A8 2.4L engine. Does not fit 3.0L J30A4/J30A5 V6 models.
Do I need to upgrade my main power cabling?
Installing a 1/0 or 4-gauge "Big 3" charging cable upgrade between the alternator positive terminal and battery is highly recommended to safely utilize the full 200-amp capacity without resistance-induced voltage drop.
The Honda Standard
Built to sustain aggressive daily operation and high-draw electronics, this unit maintains factory bracket alignment while delivering uncompromising electrical stability for your K-series platform.
