High-Output 200 Amp Alternator for 1990-1993 Honda Accord (CB7)
What it Does: The 200 Amp High Output Alternator replaces the low-output factory charging unit on the 1990-1993 Accord to supply stable system voltage and eliminate idle electrical drop under high-amperage demands.
The Stock Honda Accord Charging Weakness
The factory charging system on the CB7 chassis was designed around a modest 70-80 amp stock unit. Modern accessories, upgraded audio amplifiers, high-draw electric radiator fans, and auxiliary electronics quickly exceed this threshold. Under heavy load, the OEM diode trio overheats, causing severe voltage drop down to 11-12 volts at idle, dimming headlights, stressing the ignition coils, and prematurely degrading the battery.
The Engineering Solution
Assembled in the USA, this direct-replacement 200-amp alternator resolves charging deficits using heavy-gauge copper stator windings, a heavy-duty avalanche rectifier diode pack, and a robust internal solid-state voltage regulator. Engineered to sustain a reliable 14.2 to 14.8 volts through the rev range, it features precision-wound stators that elevate low-RPM charging performance without modifying mounting locations. The unit integrates seamlessly with factory F22A bracketry and interchanges directly with OEM numbers 13325, 31100PT3A51, and 100211-8150.
